BawarchiBuddy never touches the money — it's a lead-generation model, so we don't collect GST on the food and the full order amount lands in your account instantly. Home cooks below the GST threshold (₹20 lakh services / ₹40 lakh goods) are not required to register for GST on these orders.
Payment gateway

A flat ₹5 per order, no percentages — best for first-time customers who want refund protection. Gateway charges apply on top (₹0 on UPI, standard rates on cards). Because we process the payment, BawarchiBuddy is legally required to collect 5% GST on the food subtotal from customers at checkout and remit it to the government under India's e-commerce operator rules.

Why GST differs between the two modes: on Direct UPI, BawarchiBuddy never touches the money — it's a lead-generation model, so we don't collect GST on the food you sell, and home cooks below the GST threshold (₹20 lakh for services, ₹40 lakh for goods) are not required to register for GST themselves. On payment gateway orders, BawarchiBuddy processes the payment and is legally required, as an e-commerce operator under India's GST rules, to collect 5% GST on the food subtotal from customers at checkout and remit it to the government — this is in addition to, and separate from, our flat ₹5 handling fee. The ₹5 handling fee is inclusive of any applicable GST on the fee itself.
How to join
From application to your first order in 48 hours

Share your FSSAI number, photo ID, kitchen photos, and address. Takes about 5 minutes on your phone.
02Get verified
Our team reviews every application within 24–48 hours. We may ask for a quick callback if something is unclear.
03Build your menu
Add your dishes, set prices, operating hours, and prep times. Upload one photo per dish.
04Start cooking
Orders come in through the app. Confirm, cook, and hand over for delivery. You are in full control.
What you'll need
Have these ready before you apply
- Valid FSSAI Basic registration (most home cooks only need Basic — you can apply online)
- Government photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, or Driving Licence)
- 3–5 clear photos of your kitchen (prep area, storage, cooking zone)
- UPI ID in your name
- Bank account details (only if you plan to use payment gateway payouts)
- Complete kitchen address for delivery radius and verification
